Our featured book for May is The Book of Night by Holly Black! We are huge fans of Holly’s work, and thrilled to be featuring her first adult book. We loved Holly’s incredible writing, the central mystery of the book, and the main character is definitely one we were rooting for! We absolutely inhaled this release, and are so excited to be sharing it with you.

The dagger replica is surprisingly HEAVY! I’m not sure if all replicas are this heavy because it’s been forever since I held one in my hand. It is gorgeous though. I also really love the metal bookmark. I like the vibe of it.

Oooh I really love this set. It’s super gorgeous and I love the colours that they used for this one.

Okay so this is very cool! It’s basically a bullet journal? I believe it’s called that. Anyway, the difference is that it has black pages which is a serial that I love. The front is super gorgeous and has a quote on it. “How dark the night which stretched before us yet ablaze with the light of the moon and stars it felt as bright as day.”

I really love this edition of the book! It might be one of the prettiest editions that I’ve seen. I like the contrast. All covers that I’ve seen of this book are dark so the white definitely makes illumicrate stand out. The sprayed edges go nicely with it. The artwork on the endpages is beautiful and we got a bound in author letter as surprise!
Conclusion
I definitely think that this might be the best box that illumicrate has done this year. I love all the items! They’re super pretty and most of them are very useful. I also REALLY love their edition of Book of Night. It’s gorgeous. I love the contrast that the white creates. It really makes the illumicrate edition stand out. The foil embossing gives it a magical feel and it was a lovely surprise that we got a bound in author letter! I missed out on the signed Waterstones edition so this made me really happy! I’m looking forward to my next box.
